The Escape Clause
I think life should have an escape clause. Every person should not be forced to go through life’s entirety even though they do not want to go on anymore. Sure there’s suicide but it’s too painful and messy, and it fucks up everyone that’s close to the person who committed it.
Living is not for everyone. All the time we hear about living life to the fullest and becoming all we can be, but not everyone is able to do that. So we see a lot of people just wasting away. Vagrants, beggars, addicts, and all the other degenerates in this universe.
Life is not supposed to be an imposition. It’s supposed to be a celebration. But how about those who are always on the fringe of these celebrations? Must those people who aren’t able to celebrate because of their lousy existence forever stare from a distance, far from the maddeningly celebratory crowd, waiting for their candle of life to go out?
This is a morbid post I know but really, somebody has got to do something about this, this.. life.
NOTE TO SELF: STOP THINKING TOO MUCH. NOT GOOD FOR YOUR MENTAL HEALTH.
