Afternoon Delight

I got so bored working (rrright!) in my cubicle that I hauled my laptop to the office pantry where I have a spectacular view of Makati.  Something has to be done about the surrounding buildings though.  This one for example:

 

This one has to go.  It’92s totally blocking my view of the majestic Manila Bay sunset.  I’92m gonna borrow Marvin the Martian’92s Uranium PU-36 Explosive Space Modulator so I can vaporize this building!!!  Not.

I love working here in the pantry although sometimes the view fails to evoke the desired emotion.  Instead of being awed by the vastness of this metropolis, I am sometimes dismayed by the monstrosity that years of squatting and myopic urban planning on the part of the government has created.

But for now, I feel  one with the humanity of this large city, and even the Manila Bay sunset that I only partially caught was enough to tide me over for the night.
