Out Of The Frying Pan & Into The Tunnel
Anyway, earlier today we went through this cavernous wonder of nature that’s the underground river. It’s awe-inspiring in the sense that it’s huge and long and dark and smelly and for the closet claustrophobic, don’t you dare go in there. Aside from the millions of years supposedly spent by nature digging this malodorous thing, I find the place uncomfortable. It’s scent can actually be felt from way outside the cave’s opening. I got a secret smile from a cute tourist when I remarked that the smell must be Armani’s latest offering– ‘Armani Guano’.
While in the cave, I was trying hard not to panic. My fear that I might be claustrophobic myself was confirmed. Although there were parts of that cave that make you think of huge cathedrals, I can still feel the walls closing in. And did I mention it was so frigging dark in there? Murderers should be left in that place for a day of everyweek they spent in prison. Lord knows that would be punishment enough. And apt too, considering that they’ve sent their victims into that endless night.
Tomorrow’s going to be the Honda Bay tour. Now that’s something to look forward to. I love Honda. I’ve driven two of them so far, one better than the former. Not that that bay had anything to do with Honda motors. Told you, Chao long. Weird noodle soup that one. By the way, it can’t compare with the broth offered by Pho Hoa. I have actually gone to three supposedly authentic Vietnamese restaurants here in search for that perfect chao long. Unfortunately each restaurant was a disappointment. The only good thing they had was the French bread. The French screwed them up real bad I think, otherwise they wouldn’t be able to come up with french bread that’s as close as it can be to the real thing.
But the chao long? Ach. Don’t bother. But if you must, there’s a chao long house along Manalo Street. It’s called ‘Lan’s Chao Long House and Restaurant’, it’s not exactly the type that would sweep you off your taste buds but compared to the crap that Vietville and Rene’s Saigon House offers, this is the least of all evil.
Oh well, toilet time. Time to crap out the crap I just ingested. Gosh, did I gross you out dear boy? Ta.

Hahaha! Had a good laugh too. Ti namit man?
oops…no pun intended there. hehehe
BWAHAHAHAHA!
Thank God I just finished eating lunch or else… heheheAnyway, I’ve seen Palawan. Well, I always say that I’ve been there but the truth is I’ve only been to Pearl Farm and Amanpulo. hehe I’m really a stranger to this country I call my home.. I love your job!
