Interesting Post From NYT

June 8th 2009 in Blah

Here’s an interesting piece about blogging from The New York Times:

Not all fallow blogs die from lack of reader interest. Some bloggers find themselves too busy — what with, say, homework and swim practice, or perhaps even housework and parenting. Others graduate to more immediate formats, like Twitter and Facebook. And a few — gasp — actually decide to reclaim some smidgen of personal privacy. – Blogs Falling In An Empty Forest

Some blog because they got carried away by the hype.  Those who blog just for the heck of it usually become disinterested after a while and just leave their created blogs floating in the wastelands of the world wide web.

  • I read the same article a week ago when it first came out. People quit blogging for a host of reasons. I myself do not know how long I will keep blogging for there are times when things just get too busy at work and in life. I will try to keep on blogging though..... for now. :)
  • What a - gasp - nice quote and succinct post. The quote is lengthier [longer?] than the actual post? Never mind. The last sentence of the excerpted material more than makes up for it.

Who says by the way that a post should at the very least be this xxx number of words. Love this. I'd follow that link. Because - gasp - I haven't read it yet.

This is bad I'm leaving this blog with a verbal tic. Yay.

PS: I like that category "blah." Maybe I should have one for my blog, too.

People turn into a different kind of animal when they’re online.  Maybe not everyone but putting the [...]

Hanging In A Balance

The June 2009 Philippines Nursing Board Exam is over and now the hard part begins.  At least a month’s worth of torture will be experienced by those who were not very sure about their answers during the exam.  Even those who exude confidence I’m sure couldn’t help but wonder, what if?  What if indeed. I [...]
