Another PGB Goes To iBlog5

May 8, 2009

This PGB will be going to the 5th Philippine blogging summit along with another self-confessed PGB.  Of course, we are only there for the freebies.  We really don’t care who the speakers will be or whether they’ll be talking about anything of importance.  Screw the speeches, screw the lectures, let me have my free stuff. :)

PGB (Patay Gutom Blogger), as popularized by a certain someone has recently been in the center of a mini-blogging storm courtesy of some folks who took offense to the term.  A friend mentioned this to me in passing, saying that there’s some sort of a war brewing over this.  As I was too busy with my manga scans I barely heard what the friend said.  I only remembered it when I finally finished the final volume (there were 86 volumes with 851 chapters, hah! Beat that) and was starting to feel depressed that I decided to dig around.

True enough there was the acronym, the flying words, the apologies, and the non-acceptance of the apologies.  I really could not take any side being the fencesitter that I am, but I must admit it was hilarious.  And with my friend in tow, we have right there and then proclaimed ourselves the embodiment of the PGB despite the fact that we are bigwigs in our respective corporations (naks!).

iBlog5 is the first manifestation of our newfound classification, yes we are a stereotype, yes we were marginalized, and yes we are loving it.

Hahaha. I'm a PGB too. I may not have been to any event with those freebies yet, but why should I decline accepting those when given. LOL!

I have read the article on PGB, even though not directly mentioned, I could classify myself as a PGB. Those scumbugs who use blogging to earn money. LOL.

We should start this group, and joyfully proclaim to the A-listers that we are PGB's and are proud to be PGBs. Hehe.

BTW, how was iBlog5, too bad I was swimming somewhere in batangas courtesy of my meager loose coins being a PGB. LOL
