Miki’s blog has occupied my sidebar long enough, and I feel it’s time for a new one to come along. I have been muddied and sullied from all the blog hopping I’ve done and yet I haven’t found any site that could topple Miki’s stranglehold. So inasmuch as I would hate to call on a lifeline for this fledgling project, looks like I am forced to.
Maria’s blog is supposed to be the ace up my sleeve. While I was coming up with my concept of a link worthy blog, hers immediately popped in my mind. Maria can create poems like they were trees that suddenly shot up from the earth as if they are meant to be there. I say create because that’s what she does. Writing is something that most people do. In her case, she gives birth.
I have followed Maria’s blog through all the blogging platforms she’s used. I have dabbled in poetry myself (if you can call my pathetic attempts as such) but every time I read one of hers I wished I haven’t. The lush imagery, the utter simplicity– everything is carefully knitted to form her verdant poems. One can only think of crawling vines that strengthen the walls they inhabit and beautify.
I only hope that I am not committing an offense by featuring her blog here.
