So I got my wish. 2 out of 5 in my Oscar Picks got the vote. It’s a no brainer really. There was no way Daniel Day-Lewis and Javier Bardem were gonna lose. The rest? Oh well.

I got a bonus though. Falling Slowly that lovely song in the movie “Once”, the same song that the lady commenters here really liked, won the Oscar for Best Original Song.
This is him in No Country For Old Men (winner, Best Picture). Scary dude.

hmm… for awhile there i thought johnny depp (Sweeney Todd) was going to score an upset. still, daniel day-lewis did a solid job and he remains one of my all-time favorites

Though I missed “No Country For Old Men” in the theaters, I will definitely make it part of my DVD collection.
The guy who played Katherine Heigl’s boyfriend in Grey’s Anatomy was Jeffrey Dean Morgan, not Javier Bardem. The latter, however, is Penelope Cruz’s real life boyfriend.

I don’t know if that movie had been shown in the Phil. But definitely I’ve never seen it. I hope there’s gonna be a rerun. I’ll watch it for sure.
