Oy! Look who’s back from the dead. Not me, stupid, I’ve always been around, it’s this blog who has decided to rear its ugly head once again. I’ve finally gathered enough interest to resurrect this blog after falling heavily into outrageously unsuccessful money making efforts. Well, not yet. I have not given up, nor do I want to give up. Some wise man said that anything that’s worth living for is worth fighting for, or something to that effect.
A lot has changed since I decided to bury this blog (for 6 months was it?). I’ve renewed my commitment to travel, sparing no expense whatsoever (as if I have a lot of those to burn), and I’ve chronicled and will chronicle my travels in this here blog. As you can see, I’ve already been to a couple of places this year. I have one more trip coming up this month and another already scheduled next month.
I think the sudden desire to haul ass was triggered by several premonitions that death is not only creeping but starting to sprint for my neck, thus I need to be somewhere else when he does arrive. Nyaha. But I’ve already ceased being afraid of that old fella, and there were even times when I kept my window open waiting for him to drop in. He never did though.
Everything remains the same though. People might say that there’s progress in this world but I still see the same pattern over and over again. Oh well, so much for that.
One good thing I’ve discovered recently is the literature on Arsene Lupin. Nope not the dense anime, but the actual literary form, courtesy of Project Gutenberg. I can’t believe that it’s only now that I’ve seen this really engaging character. It can be a bit dragging sometimes but perhaps that’s because the literature had to be translated from French. No matter, it’s pretty entertaining. A genius burglar/swindler with a weakness for pretty women? Yes please. I was tickled pink to read about Holmlock Shears and Wilson. Mwahahaha. How thick can you get.
Anyway, got to go and hit the sack. Been awake for more than 24 hours now.
