Slack

December 1, 2006

If there’s one thing that I want, it is this; to live my life freely as I see fit, in my own terms, in my own pace. Easier said than done, but then again, anyone can dream.

A lot of crazy notions can run through a person’s head when he’s cooped himself up in a room for 24 hours, thinking, and staring at nothing but the computer. Some old author once said that a person basks in absolute freedom when he exercises his freedom to think.  He’s probably dead by now, or at the very least insane.

I’ve done nothing today but chase trains of thoughts.  Not that it would enhance my physique but it does kill time, time that I have often complained about as too fleeting and slippery, and which has been suddenly thrust into my lap when I don’t have any need for it– for now.  I wish there is some way that I can save this slack, put it in a bottle somewhere and use it for some deadline or holiday vacation down the road.
